Man Shot at Aberdeen Masonic Lodge Thursday Night, Police Say – Matawan, NJ Patch

ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP, NJ – A man and a woman were shot at while inside a parked car at the Aberdeen Township Masonic Lodge Thursday night, police said, and the man was struck by the gunfire while the woman escaped unharmed. An Old Bridge Township man was arrested Saturday, Christmas Eve, and charged with the shooting, according to the Monmouth County prosecutor’s office.Aberdeen Township police responded to a report of shots fired at the Aberdeen Masonic Lodge at around 9:53 p.m. on Thursday. Upon their arrival, officers were initially unable to locate a victim. A local hospital, however, subsequently notified police that a male gunshot victim was being treated at their facility, and officers responded and spoke to the man, 32, of Somerset. He was treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and was later released.
